South Kensington

This painting captures South Kensington in London, just outside the tube station. Inspired by the brilliance of the winter sun, I was drawn to the dramatic shadows it cast across the street. The striking red umbrellas of the florist “Gilding the Lily” provided a vivid focal point, their bold shapes contrasting beautifully with the surrounding architecture and light.

This work was selected for the Chelsea Art Society’s Annual Summer Exhibition 2025, where it sold on the opening day.
