"Bluebell Woods"
I painted this original oil en plein air at Great Barrow in Cheshire, and added a few final touches back in the studio. My aim was to capture the soft lavender and blue hues of the bluebells, along with the dappled sunlight as it filtered through the trees and danced across the woodland path.
Glimpses of light in the background add a gentle sense of depth and atmosphere — I wanted to evoke that peaceful feeling of a springtime walk through the woods, when everything feels still and alive all at once.
