"Hazy Summer, Broadway"

I painted this piece en plein air in Broadway, right in the heart of the Cotswolds, on a beautiful summer’s day. The air was still and filled with birdsong — such a peaceful, calming atmosphere. What drew me to the scene was the soft haze that lingered over the distant hills, casting a gentle veil across the landscape. I felt compelled to capture that feeling of stillness and space, with the village of Broadway nestled quietly in the background.

The painting is framed in a professionally crafted 3" frame, painted in Farrow & Ball No. 3 Off-White with a hand-applied gold leaf inner edge, adding a subtle, classic touch.
