"Summer Reflections – Tavira"

I painted this piece en plein air in the beautiful town of Tavira, Portugal, on a hot summer’s day. It’s such a delightful place, full of charm and light. What really captured my attention was the way the soft blue ripples in the foreground reflected the colour of the sky, and how the pink building stood out so vividly with its reflection dancing in the water.

Across the river, a busy café scene added life to the composition — I chose to suggest this activity rather than fully define it, to keep the focus on the calm beauty of the reflections and light.
