Still Life – Antique Pochade Box, Green Glass & Red Rose
I couldn’t resist painting my little antique pochade box—it’s one of my favourite treasures in the studio. I thought it would be fun to pair it with the rich tones of a red rose and the complementary green of a glass bottle. Painted from life, alla prima, this piece captures the charm of familiar objects in a warm, intimate composition.
The work is presented in a hand-made grey frame with a white slip, adding a classic touch that complements the subject beautifully.
